M17 (NGC6618)
Questa immagine è stata presa la notte del 27-28 maggio 1995
attraverso un telescopio di 40cm f/5. L'immagine è stata ottenuta
sovrapponendo 10 immagini di 2 minuti ciascuna. CCD SBIG ST-6 raffreddato
a -35C. Nessun filtro. Il software per la riduzione delle immagini è
stato NOAO/IRAF. I pixel sono stati allungati sull'asse Y per ovviare alla
distorsione indotta dalla ST-6 che utilizza pixel rettangolari.
La scala è circa pari a 2.4"/pixel. Il Nord è in alto e Est a
sinistra (approsimativamente). Il campo e' di circa 15'x11'.

This image was taken on night of May 27-28, 1995
using a 40cm f/5 telescope. The image is a composite of 10
2-minute frames which have been reduced separatly. The camera was a
SBIG ST-6 cooled to -35C. No filter was used. The software used to
reduce the images was NOAO/IRAF. Pixels have been squared, that is,
the Y axis has been magnified in order to remove the distortion
produced by ST-6 rectangular pixels. Scale is equal to about
2.4"/pixel. North
is up and East is left (approximatly). The field is about 15'x11'.
